Vacancy available: sheet metal welder (South Carolina)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Williamsburg County, South Carolina. You will be based on a structural steel site. Your main tasks: • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run Ideal candidate: • 2+ years' hands-on experience with argon/TIG welding • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
