Concrete worker • Eilean Siar, Scotland

Immediate opening: we are hiring a concrete worker in Eilean Siar, Scotland. The job is at a precast concrete yard. On a typical shift you will lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength; patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout; screed and level slabs to the marked dead level and falls. Ideal candidate: • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Able to read structural drawings and bar bending schedules Full-time with occasional weekends. £115 per day, negotiable for the right hands.
