Urgent requirement: we are hiring a bread and bun maker in Livingston County, New York. You will be based in a hotel pastry kitchen. Your main tasks: • Load and unload the deck oven with a peel • Laminate puff and croissant dough by folding in the butter • Decorate cakes with icing, fondant and fresh cream • Weigh and mix flour, yeast, water and salt to the day's recipe • Monitor oven temperature and baking time for each batch Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of dough fermentation and proving • Familiar with deck, rack and convection ovens • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
