Production welder wanted in Houston County

Join our team: we are hiring a production welder in Houston County, Alabama. You will be based in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. The role involves: • Load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence • Set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints What we are looking for: • ITI in welder trade or equivalent • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough.
