Stainless steel welder — Goodhue County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a stainless steel welder in Goodhue County, Minnesota. You will work at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. The role involves back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish; clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding. Ideal candidate: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
