We are recruiting: we are hiring a banksman in Deer Lodge County, Montana. You will be based at a container port. You will inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; calculate load weight and centre of gravity before every lift; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position; read lift plans and method statements before starting; direct the crane operator with standard hand signals and radio; establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area. Ideal candidate: • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Sound knowledge of working load limits and sling angles At least 4 year(s) in a similar role.
