Immediate opening: we are hiring a crane rigger in Edmonson County, Kentucky. You will work at a shipyard. Day to day you will establish exclusion zones and keep workers clear of the lift area; read lift plans and method statements before starting; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; inspect slings, shackles and eyebolts for wear, kinks and cracks before each use; select the correct slings, shackles and chains for each load's weight. Ideal candidate: • Confident with standard crane hand signals • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness • Valid rigging / lifting certificate or banksman-slinger ticket 5+ years on the tools preferred.
