Immediate opening: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Clearwater County, Idaho. You will work at a knitwear stitching unit. Ideal candidate: • Knows how to set tension, change needles and do basic machine maintenance • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory Day to day you will set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers; keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line; operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching. At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time with occasional weekends. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
