Immediate opening: concrete finisher (Texas)

Now hiring: we are hiring a concrete finisher in Kaufman County, Texas. The job is at a precast concrete yard. What we are looking for: • Willing to wear safety boots, helmet and full PPE • ITI in masonry or civil work an added advantage • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds On the job you will handle: • Strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing • Cure slabs by ponding, wet hessian or curing compound for the required days • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors • Erect and align timber and steel shuttering before each pour Six days a week, one day off.
