Urgent requirement: we are hiring a metal caster in Guernsey County, Ohio. You will work in the melting bay of a steel foundry. Requirements: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding The role involves maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings; carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand; mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes.
