Vacancy available: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Rensselaer County, New York. Ideal candidate: • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances Day-to-day duties: • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Carry out 6G pipe welds where required • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) $21 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
