Immediate opening: tailor machinist (England)

Join our team: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Borough of Halton, England. Requirements: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown The role involves: • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation Full-time, day shift.
