Vacancy available: we are hiring an AC and fridge repair technician in Knox County, Illinois. You will be based in an HVAC service company. Day to day you will replace compressors, filter driers and expansion valves; check superheat and subcooling and trim the charge; install and commission cold rooms, walk-in freezers and display cabinets; check oil level and top up or change the compressor oil; pull a vacuum on the system and check for trapped moisture. Requirements: • Available on-call and at weekends for breakdowns • Own a set of hand tools and a gauge manifold • Able to braze copper and silver-solder joints Full-time with occasional weekends.
