Vacancy available: metal caster (Nevada)

Immediate opening: we are hiring a metal caster in Carson City, Nevada. The job is in the melting bay of a steel foundry. The role involves: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring What we are looking for: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Meals and transport allowance provided. We offer $4,700 per month plus benefits. Contact us to fix an interview.
