Now hiring: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Union County, New Jersey. You will work at a rebar fabrication workshop. Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Confident tying with a tie hook and handling binding wire The role involves: • Fit mechanical couplers where shown on the drawings • Fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough. Pay around $3,000 per month, based on your experience. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Six days a week, one day off. Contact us to fix an interview.
