Join our team: furnace operator (Tennessee)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a furnace operator in Grundy County, Tennessee. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. You should have: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor On the job you will handle: • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings Rotating shifts.
