Vertical transportation technician — Cumberland County

Now hiring: we are hiring a vertical transportation technician in Cumberland County, Illinois. The job is at a busy lift company. What we are looking for: • Good head for heights for pit and car-top work • Physically fit to lift heavy components and crawl in tight spaces • Willing to join the on-call/emergency breakdown rota Day-to-day duties: • Service the traction motor, brake and gearbox • Fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments • Wire up the controller, encoder and limit switches • Set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear • Test buffers, final limit switches and the emergency brake We offer $3,300 per month plus benefits.
