Lathe programmer-operator wanted in Stoke-on-Trent

Now hiring: we are hiring a lathe programmer-operator in Stoke-on-Trent, England. The role involves set tool offsets and establish work zero (G54); adjust feeds and speeds to control the surface finish; write and edit G-code programs at the control; change worn carbide inserts and monitor tool wear; measure finished parts with micrometers and vernier calipers. Ideal candidate: • Experience with carbide tooling and insert selection • ITI / NCVT certificate in the machinist (turner) trade preferred 2+ years on the tools preferred.
