Join our team: we are hiring an argon welder in Martin County, North Carolina. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Day to day you will clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush; run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut.
