Now hiring: we are hiring a sausage maker in Madera County, California. You will be based in a supermarket meat department. The role involves keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; run the band saw to cut cleanly through bone; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain. Requirements: • 2+ years experience working as a butcher • Knowledge of halal slaughter and handling where required • Food hygiene / HACCP certificate Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough. $5,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
