Gtaw welder — Washington County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gtaw welder in Washington County, Illinois. You will work in a pharmaceutical piping facility. Your main tasks: • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions Ideal candidate: • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
