Now hiring: we are hiring a shuttering charge hand in Luce County, Michigan. On the job you will handle: • Fix soldiers, walers and tie rods to resist the concrete pressure • Seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss • Cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs • Read formwork drawings and setting-out marks to position the shutters • Set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking • Watch the formwork during concreting and tighten up any movement Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on RCC and formwork on building or infrastructure sites • Follows site safety, PPE and edge-protection rules Six days a week, one day off.
