Now hiring: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Elk County, Kansas. The job is on a commercial tower construction site. What we are looking for: • Able to read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling The role involves: • Lap and splice bars to the specified lap length • Set out starter bars and column dowels for the next lift • Lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors • Keep the rebar stacked, tagged and free of mud and loose rust • Cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder 6+ years on the tools preferred.
