Great opportunity: we are hiring a stitching operator in Davis County, Iowa. You will work at a knitwear stitching unit. On a typical shift you will attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish; inspect each piece for skipped stitches, broken thread and needle holes; clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality. Ideal candidate: • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown 3+ years on the tools preferred.
