Sand plant operator wanted in Swisher County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Swisher County, Texas. You will be based in a non-ferrous casting shop. Requirements: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Basic grinding and fettling skills The role involves: • Assemble cope and drag mould halves and clamp them together • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
