Sheet metal welder wanted in Nottingham

Vacancy available: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Nottingham, England. You will be based at an automotive body and exhaust shop. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces Day-to-day duties: • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
