Great opportunity: rigger (Alaska)

We are recruiting: we are hiring a rigger in Anchorage Municipality, Alaska. You will be based at a container port. Requirements: • Proven experience as a rigger on construction or industrial sites • Sharp eye for safety and hazard awareness Day to day you will secure loads with turnbuckles, chain blocks and lever hoists; attach wire rope and chain slings to loads using shackles and hooks; carry out daily checks on cranes, hoists and lifting tackle; read lift plans and method statements before starting; check sling angles to stay within the working load limit; rig and lift structural steel, precast panels and machinery into position. Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough. We offer $3,300 per month plus benefits. Meals and transport allowance provided. Full-time with occasional weekends.
