Fabricator-welder — Cedar County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Cedar County, Nebraska. You will work in a food and dairy equipment factory. The role involves select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job; weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges; carry out 6G pipe welds where required; feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle; clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding; back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring). Ideal candidate: • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
