Ladle pourer • Cass County, Nebraska

Vacancy available: we are hiring a ladle pourer in Cass County, Nebraska. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. You will fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. Requirements: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Full-time with occasional weekends. $4,500 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
