Join our team: we are hiring an industrial sewing operator in Clarke County, Virginia. The job is on an export house sewing floor. Your main tasks: • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers Ideal candidate: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Can hit the daily piece-rate target consistently Rotating shifts.
