Gas pipe fitter • Pope County, Illinois

We are recruiting: we are hiring a gas pipe fitter in Pope County, Illinois. You will be based on commercial and industrial sites. Day to day you will fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls; complete gas safety certificates and label the finished installation; locate and repair gas leaks and replace corroded pipe sections; check every joint for leaks with soapy water and leak-detection spray; read isometric drawings and mark out the pipe routes; purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate. What we are looking for: • Physically fit for lifting pipe, meters and cylinders • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion Full-time, day shift.
