Reinforcement fitter — Walworth County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a reinforcement fitter in Walworth County, South Dakota. The job is on a commercial tower construction site. On a typical shift you will install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; fix cover blocks and spacers to maintain concrete cover; assemble column and beam cages on the bench; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; place main bars and distribution bars to the marked spacing. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of lap lengths, cover and bar spacing • Valid site safety card and PPE (helmet, boots, gloves) • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates $5,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
