Great opportunity: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Colusa County, California. The role involves cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge; raking out and tooling the joints to a struck or bucket-handle finish; pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints; installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings. Ideal candidate: • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage Six days a week, one day off.
