Core maker • Prince George County, Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a core maker in Prince George County, Virginia. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding You will make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities; cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant; apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity. 5+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. Pay around $27 per hour, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
