Occupational health and safety officer — Asari-Toru

Urgent requirement: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Asari-Toru, Rivers State. Day to day you will take gas readings with a multi-gas detector before confined-space entry; inspect scaffolding, full-body harnesses and lifelines for work at height; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; record accident statistics and keep the safety logbook up to date; deliver site induction to new workers, subcontractors and visitors. You should have: • Valid first aid and basic firefighting training • Strong record-keeping and incident-reporting skills • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate Six days a week, one day off.
