You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work The role involves: • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec Pay around $5,100 per month, based on your experience.
