Occupational health and safety officer • Macon County, North Carolina

Vacancy available: we are hiring an occupational health and safety officer in Macon County, North Carolina. The job is in a chemical processing unit. You will investigate near-misses and incidents and file root-cause reports; run fire drills and check extinguishers, hydrants and alarm points; carry out toolbox talks with the crew before each shift; stop unsafe work and brief the supervisor on corrective action; enforce lockout-tagout (LOTO) on energised and rotating equipment; update the risk register and method statements (RAMS). You should have: • NEBOSH, IOSH or a recognised OHS certificate • Comfortable working at height and inside confined spaces • Clear spoken delivery for toolbox talks and inductions Part-time with flexible hours.
