Urgent requirement: wood machinist (New York)

Great opportunity: we are hiring a wood machinist in Tompkins County, New York. You will work in a bespoke joinery workshop. Ideal candidate: • NVQ Level 2/3 in Carpentry and Joinery or equivalent • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work On the job you will handle: • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together • Read and work from architectural drawings and cutting lists • Erect formwork and shuttering for concrete pours • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet Freshers welcome — about 1 years of practice is enough.
