GTAW welder • Steuben County, New York

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Steuben County, New York. You will work on a structural steel site. On the job you will handle: • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush Requirements: • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard Full-time, day shift.
