Vacancy available: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana. The job is in a demolition and site-clearance yard. Ideal candidate: • Sound understanding of daily maintenance and greasing • Able to read drawings, setting-out pegs and level pegs • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control The role involves carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels; excavate trenches for water, sewer and cable runs; work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance; swap buckets and attachments — rock breaker, grab, ripper, auger. 2+ years on the tools preferred. $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
