On a typical shift you will fill cracks and nail holes with filler and caulk the gaps; carry out snagging and touch-ups before handover; sand and fill walls before applying primer; prep and prime metal, treating rust with red-oxide primer; mask off windows, skirting and fittings with tape and sheeting; hang lining paper and wallpaper, matching patterns at the seams. Ideal candidate: • Physically fit for standing, bending and reaching all day • 2+ years experience as a painter and decorator Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
