We are recruiting: we are hiring a fettler in Cook County, Illinois. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. You should have: • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Willing to wear full PPE such as heat-resistant apron, spats and visor • Willing to work in hot, dusty conditions and rotating shifts Day to day you will pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles; fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces; make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities. $3,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Part-time with flexible hours. Walk-in interviews this week.
