Now hiring: argon arc welder (California)

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Fresno County, California. You will work at a busy fabrication workshop. Day to day you will inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks; strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal; select AC for aluminium and DC for stainless and mild steel; weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through; grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish. You should have: • Able to TIG weld stainless steel and aluminium to a neat standard • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Pay around $18 per hour, based on your experience.
