Immediate opening: we are hiring a reinforcement steel fixer in Boone County, Arkansas. You will be based on a civil engineering bridge and roads site. Ideal candidate: • Willing to work outdoors in all weather and to tight pour dates • Proven experience as a steel fixer on building or civil sites • Physically fit for heavy lifting and long spells bending and kneeling The role involves install chairs and bar supports to hold up the top mat; check bar diameter, spacing and cover before the pour; read reinforcement drawings and bar bending schedules; cut rebar to length with a bar cutter or angle grinder; lay and tie mesh for slabs and ground-bearing floors; tie bar intersections with binding wire using a tie hook or pliers. Full-time, day shift. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. $16 per hour, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
