Immediate opening: we are hiring a panel welder in Charles City County, Virginia. The job is in a heavy engineering unit. Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes The role involves tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; load ER70S-6 wire spools and check the drive rolls; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc. Performance bonus on top of base pay. Rotating shifts. Walk-in interviews this week.
