Great opportunity: we are hiring a tiling assistant in Union County, Iowa. Requirements: • Work neatly with minimal tile wastage • Able to work to deadlines on busy sites • Own a basic set of tiling tools (trowels, spacers, levels) Your main tasks: • Set out mosaic sheets and trim them to fit the edges • Cut ceramic and porcelain tiles on a manual tile cutter • Apply a waterproofing membrane in showers and wet areas • Level large-format tiles with a tile levelling system • Set out the tile layout and snap reference lines with a chalk line • Mix tile adhesive and cement mortar to the right consistency Rotating shifts.
