Hand presser wanted in Saint Helena Parish

Now hiring: we are hiring a hand presser in Saint Helena Parish, Louisiana. You will work in a tailoring workshop. What we are looking for: • Sound knowledge of fabric types and correct heat settings • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases Day-to-day duties: • Fuse interlinings and fusible tape on the fusing press • Shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board • Keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure • Operate the steam press and vacuum table to finish garments We offer $140 per day plus benefits.
