Great opportunity: we are hiring a concrete pump mate in Lake County, Indiana. You will work at a ready-mix concrete plant. Requirements: • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods • Able to work to tight pour schedules and night pours • Hands-on with poker vibrators, power floats and concrete mixers Your main tasks: • Fix and tie reinforcement bars and mesh as per the bar bending schedule • Discharge and place concrete from transit mixers and pumps into the forms • Load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors • Float and trowel surfaces with a bull float and power trowel for a smooth finish • Patch honeycombs and tie-rod holes with non-shrink grout Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
