Immediate opening: tailor machinist (Michigan)

Now hiring: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Saint Joseph County, Michigan. You will be based in a textile and apparel unit. On the job you will handle: • Sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line What we are looking for: • Able to read a spec sheet and follow a sewing operation breakdown • Comfortable working long hours seated at a fast line • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines 5+ years on the tools preferred.
