Now hiring: argon welder (Wisconsin)

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welder in Marquette County, Wisconsin. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. Ideal candidate: • Valid welder certification (ASME IX / ISO 9606 an advantage) • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Steady hands and good close-up eyesight Day-to-day duties: • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. $3,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
